 Project Description

The NCD, with an area of more than 10 hectares available for development, is located at the north-eastern corner of the airport island. The Airport Authority Hong Kong (AA)’s vision of the NCD development is to create a destination for both visitors and local community leveraging on the opportunities to be brought about by the opening of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge. Synergizing with other Lantau attractions, the NCD development shall contribute to both the development of Lantau and the tourism in Hong Kong. 

The master layout plan of the NCD has proposed land uses primarily for retail and hotel developments. The whole retail development will be about twice the size of the Harbour City. The first phase of the retail development will be around  200,000 m² gross floor area, which may potentially be the largest shopping mall in Hong Kong upon completion.

On January 2017, our company was awarded for the project of “Hong Kong International Airport Contract No. P561 – North Commercial District Enabling Works” from China State Construction Engineering (Hong Kong) Ltd. 

The works herein specified for waterproofing system to pad footing, base slab, suspended slab, sump pit & lift pit, ground floor plantroom, sunken slab & toilet. The waterproofing works were over 100,000 m² for this project and the works were started on January 2017 and the works are in-progress. We provided 10 years warranty for the waterproofing works in this project.
